It’s that time of year again when my mind is full of questions!Who am I?
What would I like to be?
What do I want to achieve?
Generally, between the end of October and the beginning of November, I take a day to have a sort of meeting with myself and plan for the coming year. I write down my goals, I put everything in writing, and this serves as a springboard for the new year!
This year, however, with the huge number of commitments and the recent life changes, I haven’t been able to find that moment yet. This time, I’ve put my priorities aside to focus on yours. The result is a long monologue in which I question everything, which has been going on for a couple of months now, notes written here and there, my head spinning full of questions, with the answers getting closer.

My dad once told me that the best way to achieve your goals is to write them down and make a three-year plan. I took him literally, and every year I write my personal guide to conquering the upcoming year, and I have to say that so far, this technique has really worked!
Last year, I wrote:
“I want freedom, to move around the world, and feel surrounded by inspiration and input.”
“I want a life that follows my rhythm, not someone else’s.”
“I want to create an artistic space for sharing.”
But most of all:
“I want to be the boss of myself.”
And today, a year later, to my great satisfaction, I find that I’ve achieved almost all of these things.

However, all these experiences have led me to question a lot about who I am, how I want to express that, who I want to be in the future, and what I want to do. I don’t know if this confusion is something that happens to everyone who dares to ask themselves these questions, but the answers are neither simple nor obvious. We live with ourselves every day, changing like a child grows before our eyes without us noticing, and only when we stop and look inside for a second do we realize how different we’ve become.

At the beginning of 2024, after writing my little guide for conquering 2024, I had exactly this experience: I dug so deep inside myself that one morning I woke up and realized that I no longer saw myself in my drawings. That version of me had disappeared a while ago, and I hadn’t even noticed. Now, after a year so full of life and experiences, I realize that even the new version of me I met at the beginning of 2024 is no longer there. New shapes, new colors, a new elegance and awareness, but also new goals. That the me from three years ago could never have imagined.

I believe that this idea of a “guide to the new year” and projecting ourselves into the next three years is something we should all do, whether you’re an architect, a housewife, a lawyer, or an illustrator.
So I thought I’d create a little guide and checklist for you, so that your year can start with a bang and with a lot of awareness. To download the guide click on the link below! I hope you like it!
