For those who don\u2019t know me, here\u2019s a brief summary: we left the Cayman Islands on February 16th, landed in Miami, and then rented an RV to travel along the entire east coast of the United States, reaching Salem, the city of witches, before heading back down to New York. From New York, we rented a car and drove to Toronto, where we stayed for a month waiting for Air Transat to begin their annual flights to Europe. Why all this? To allow Esteban, my beloved dog, to fly in the cabin with us. And so it was. From Toronto, we rented another car and went to Montreal, where we took a flight to Rome. After that, we toured Europe: Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, and finally Spain. It was a wonderful trip!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now I am ready to start a new life. The journey we undertook was done with the present in mind, of course, but especially focused on our destination: reaching Asturias, on the northern coast of Spain. I had never been there before; for me, it was a place built upon Raul\u2019s stories, and throughout the trip, he was terrified at the thought that I might not like it. Let me tell you, it took just crossing the border between Cantabria and Asturias and a five-minute drive for me to say that this would be my home. We\u2019ve been here for almost a month now, and I fall more in love every day with its people, landscapes, food, and culture. I believe it is a magical place where nature manifests all its power: the mountains are simply enormous, the sea is fierce, and the nature is incredibly lush. It is also a land of witches, Vikings, and magic. I believe this is the right place to channel my energies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

WE FOUND A HOUSE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We found a house<\/strong>, and not just any house\u2014it\u2019s special because it looks like something out of a fairy tale and embodies so many dreams I\u2019ve always had. I\u2019ve always dreamed of having two houses side by side, connected by a bridge, one for me and one for my partner, like Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve always dreamed of a stone house, like the Tuscan homes I\u2019ve always loved. I\u2019ve always dreamed that it would be house-shaped, and it is. That it would be secluded but close to civilization. That it would have plenty of outdoor space so I would never feel claustrophobic at home and could grow lots of vegetables for us and carrots for Esteban. That it would be the perfect place to paint and Create. A place where creativity could truly flourish. And I believe it\u2019s just that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d love to show it to you, but I think I\u2019ll keep it a secret for a little longer, just for good luck<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

And speaking of creativity... I\u2019m diving into the world of Spanish illustration. There are so many incredibly talented artists, and I\u2019d like to mention a few: the first, super famous and super skilled, Roger Olmos, and then Joan Alturo, Sergio Mora, Victor Medina and many others that I\u2019ll tell you about over time.
